Durham Energy Institute: MSc Papers - Durham University.
Background. In the spring of 2016, Ofgem launched the Insights for Future Regulation project to explore the implications of system transformation for consumers and regulation. These discussion papers present emerging thinking resulting from our research and stakeholder discussions.
In this research paper we compare the energy consumption of the 3GPP standards 5G New Radio (NR) and Long-Term Evolution (LTE). We show that the energy consumption in an idle network can be up to 9 times lower for an NR stand-alone network compared to an LTE network.

The Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy (EERE) Postdoctoral Research Awards are intended to be an avenue for significant energy efficiency and renewable energy innovation. The EERE Postdoctoral Research Awards are designed to engage early career postdoctoral recipients in research that will provide them opportunities to understand the mission and research the needs of EERE and make advances.
Energy and Environment Research (EER) is a double-blind peer-reviewed international journal dedicated to promoting scholarly exchange among scientists and researchers in the field of energy and environment. The journal is published in both print and online versions by the Canadian Center of Science and Education. The scopes of EER include the following fields: conventional energy, new-style.
CORD (Cranfield Online Research Data) contains the underlying research data used to support our publications, from spreadsheets to multimedia to code. It also holds other valuable non-peer-reviewed outputs such as white papers and video presentations of research. Data is preserved for a default of 10 years but is not all open access, as restrictions are applied where there are ethical, legal.
Welcome to the Interdisciplinary Centre for Energy Research (ICER) at IISc, Bangalore established in 2012 with the need to bring the energy research pursued at IISc under one roof. ICER provides a platform to integrate expertise from various disciplines such as Mechanical, Electrical, Physical and Chemical Sciences towards addressing the energy needs, with major focus on renewable energy.
